The Filipino Ministry strive to build a community whose members are committed to being involved in church based ministries, develop lay leadership and recognize the unique gifts of everyone. We promote the richness and beauty of the Filipino heritage and the positive aspects of Filipino culture and values. We help identify and respond to the different programs of the parish as well as to the needs of our community and our church. The Filipino Ministry help to build a concrete foundation of our faith and commit ourselves to achieve a community where Christian belief, faith and concerns will be well – established for the whole being of our Filipino Ministry.

The goals for our ministry are to provide assistance and support to our parish in the pastoral outreach to the Filipino community in order to facilitate the latter’s enculturation and integration into larger Church community. We also help to assist in the pastoral care and service to the Filipino community, particularly, the poor and oppressed through parish programs. We try to facilitate adult, young adult and youth evangelization by using formation and catechesis relevant to Filipino culture and good religiosity. The Filipino ministry promotes the vocations of priesthood, deaconate, religious life and lay ministries. We try to promote international solidarity and other ethnic communities and nationals in the larger Church community.

In our shared journey towards spiritual growth, we need each other’s support, encouragement and friendship. We plan and hold different community and cultural activities to promote camaraderie and involvement, and build the faith and identity of the Filipinos in our parish.

The ministry members meet every Sunday at the Teen Ed center, after 11:00AM mass. This is beneficial, so our goal can be met — our membership attendance will not decline and promote our Filipino Ministry.
